What’s on around Clapham November 2018

Here’s our pick of the latest events, activities and news in and around Clapham this November.

Restaurant, café and shop news

Following swiftly on from its recent restaurant opening in Balham, Megan’s is set to come to Clapham next month at the former site of Del’Aziz, The Pavement Clapham Old Town. Its focus is on all-day brunch, juices & salads, alongside  homemade cakes, cocktails and a Mediterranean inspired evening menu.

A vegan pop up restaurant has just launched at Fu Manchu 15 Lendal Terrace Clapham North. The Meet is a new concept from South London chef Dominic Taylor which brings fun and flavour to vegan cooking and cocktails. The menu includes small sharing plates, vegan burgers, late night bites, bottomless vegan brunch and Sunday vegan roasts at the weekend. You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy the food!

Over in SW11 at the quieter end of Northcote Road we spotted a new café called Uncommon which had a tempting array of sandwiches and cakes when we looked through the window!

Flying Tiger is taking over the former Maplin site on St John’s Road SW11 and in the same area, Debenhams has launched a Swoon interiors boutique with over 1,000 square feet dedicated to Swoon furniture and conceptual room sets as well as offering a room design service. We are hoping it means that this branch of Debenhams isn’t earmarked for closure.

The Exhibit in Balham has transformed its outside space into a ski lodge for the winter months – perfect for off-piste Christmas celebrations.
