Spanish & Hispanic Restaurants in Clapham

Whether you are looking for tapas, paella or a little summer gazpacho – we list the best Spanish restaurants in and around Clapham.

57 Venn Street, Clapham SW4 0BD
Cosy (very) tapas restaurant conveniently located opposite Clapham Picturehouse, making it a good spot for post or pre-cinema. Recommended.

192 Acre Lane SW2 5UL and 278 Queenstown Road, SW8 4LT
Great value and good quality tapas here. Lots to choose from, plenty of simple dishes that only the Spanish seem to do well plus some less well known ones. Recommended.

Buena Vista Cuban Café and Cocktail Bar
19 Landor Road, Clapham SW9 9RT
Open until 2am on Friday and Saturday and with live music Thursday-Sunday nights, this is the place for a fun night out. Rum is a speciality plus there’s a Cuban/Hispanic influenced menu.

Carmen Bar De Tapas
6 Clapham Common South Side, London, SW4 7AA
Good value tapas in an authentic Spanish restaurant.

La Rueda
66-68 Clapham High Street, Clapham, SW4 7UL, T: 020 7627 2173
La Rueda has been here long before Clapham High Street became buzzing with restaurants and bars. Lively atmosphere but probably not the best Spanish food in Clapham.

The Balham Lounge
76 Bedford Hill, Balham, SW12 9HR, T: 020 8673 8787
Neighbourhood, family owned tapas restaurant which gets good reviews. We’ve yet to try.

Rosita & the Sherry Bar
124 Northcote Road, SW11 6QU, T: 020 7998 9093
A buzzy Spanish restaurant featuring a tapas menu with sherry pairings. More substantial dishes are also available. Good food, great atmosphere and friendly service. There are a few tables outside and live music on Sunday evenings.

Tierra Verde
48 Webbs Road, London SW11 6SF, T 020 7228 4465.
This is a small but delightful café and deli open during the day and specialising in organic Spanish food including Spanish hams, cheeses, oils and vinegars, olives and more.  There’s one large table in the centre and a few outside. The service is extremely friendly and coffee is good.

The Iberian Deli regularly appears at Venn Street market selling a variety of Spanish foods.
