Halloween in Clapham 2015

Bars & Clubs

Silence of the Jams at Jam Tree, Clapham Old Town: 31 October prizes for best male and female outfits, spooky cocktails and plenty of thrills!

Don’t miss the Dirty Halloween Party on 31 October at Dirty Martini, 67 Clapham High Street, SW4 7TG. Spiced pumpkin flip martinis £6 all night, happy hour until 8pm, DJ into the early hours. Dress code: Halloween chic.

It’s the Final Apocalypse at Gigalum on 31 October with Halloween dress up a must as the theme is rugby zombies! Prize giveaways and drink special all day. Free entry, DJs until late. 7-8 Cavendish Parade

Halloween weekend at Rise, 46 Battersea Rise, SW11: A murder mystery (£200 bar tab prize) live music, creepy cocktails, DJs till late. See website to book.

It’s The Grand Halloween Ball at The Clapham Grand, St John’s Hill, SW11. 31 October, 10pm-3am. £50 bar tabs for the best dressed Halloween outfits.

There’s a weekend of scary moments at The Lost Angel, 399 Battersea Park Road, SW11 with the Battersea Chain Saw Massacre on Friday 30 October and Hollywood Cemetery on Saturday 31 October. Films, creepy cocktails, 8pm-3am.

Be afraid…SO.UK’s theme is A Nightmare on Clapham High Street from 6pm on Saturday 31 October until 3.30am – tables can be reserved in advance.

Fu Manchu, underneath the arches at 15 Lendal Terrace, SW4 7UX, is opting for a Glamour Halloween special party on Saturday 31 October with ‘fashion, fun, flirtation and fantastic music’ until late.

On 31 October No 32 The Pavement, Clapham SW4 0JE will have a ghoulish DJ on the decks until 2am, spooky cocktails, blood-curdlingly pumpkin canapés and a foodie prize for the best dressed guest.

The King & Co, 100 Clapham Park Road SW4, has a Halloween party on 31 October (when else?!) with DJ from 10pm-1am, pumpkin beers and ghoulish cocktails plus food specials from Rotli Crew.

Other Halloween events & activities

The @outatclapham Halloween Special Hocus Pocus screening party is on Friday 30 October from 10pm in Clapham Picturehouse bar, Venn Street, SW4 0AT.

The Biscuiteers, 13 Northcote Road, Battersea SW11 is running 2 hour Halloween themed classes for adults where you’ll learn how to ice biscuits from their Trick or Treat and Sugar Skulls collections. Plus there are plenty of Halloween activities on Saturday 31 October.

Séance Fiction, 31 October 8pm at Clapham Omnibus: This Halloween, you are invited to join five of London’s leading improvisers on a ride into the unknown on the comedy ghost-train… Tickets £10.

On 27 October there’s a ‘Paint the Scream’ art workshop at The Jam Tree, Clapham Old Town – no experience necessary. See website for details.

A bit further afield, Wandsworth Whichcraft beer festival takes place 28-31 October at Le Gothique, John Archer Way, Wandsworth Common SW18.

Halloween activities for Children

Battersea Park Zoo is holding a pumpkin quiz trail for Halloween week: £1 plus entrance price.

Spooky themed Funky Moves October half term holiday course & big screen boogie party for Halloween held at The Bedford pub. See website.

Spooky baking for children at Northcote Road branch of Gail’s bakery on 28 October, 3.30-5pm.

Halloween fun at The Spinney, Windmill Drive, Clapham Common SW4 on Saturday 31 October, 10.30am-1pm with face painting, pumpkin carving, pizza making and spooky crafts. Free.

Studio Film School: 26-28 October, half term ‘Aliens vs Zombies’ workshop. Choose a side and make a spectacular horror film fit for Halloween. Studio Film School recommend their Top 12 Family horror films here. For older children we recommend The Woman in Black. It is a certificate 12 but it’s proper edge-of-your-seat scary!

Tooting market has Halloween activities on 31 October from noon until 4pm.
