  1. Bars – everything from traditional, cosy pubs, to DJ and cocktail bars. Clapham’s got them all. Our favourites? We change our mind a lot but current faves include the Bobbin, Stonhouse and No. 32
  2. Nightlife – who needs to traipse into central London when we’ve got Gigalum, Aquum, S.O.UK, Venn Street Records and so many DJ bars & clubs on our doorstep plus regular comedy at the Bread & Roses?
  3. Restaurants – too many to list but our current favourites include The Dairy, The Rookery, Comensal, Tsunami and for special occasions, Trinity. And you can’t beat Eco for pizza
  4. Entertainment – Clapham Picturehouse cinema of course plus independent theatre at the lovely Landor Theatre, Omnibus Arts Centre, Bread & Roses theatre and more
  5. Cafés – you’re never far from a good coffee shop in Clapham. We love Brickwood and Black Lab cafés opposite Clapham Common tube.
  6. Transport – ok, we may not love the Northern Line but it’s easy to get around with tubes, main line stations and buses on our doorstep plus cycle lanes across the common
  7. Individual shops – we love the mix of independents in Clapham like Clapham Books, JZD fashion. Places & Spaces, Grand Passion.
  8. Food shops – Moens, Ginger Pig, Macfarlane’s deli and of course Venn Street Market on Saturdays
  9. Arts and crafts. We’re a creative lot in Clapham: Clapham Pottery, Sew Over It, Clapham Omnibus Arts Centre, Studio Voltaire…the list goes on
  10. Sports: aside from the fact that just about anything goes on the common – we’re lucky enough to have plenty of gyms, tennis courts, cricket nets and a small skateboard park.
  11. Great community spirit – so many local groups including Friends of Clapham Common, Clapham Society, Clapham Film Group and even Clapham Model Yacht club!
  12. And of course, Clapham Common itself…
