9 Clapham Common Southside, SW4 7AA, T: 020 7627 0632
The Metro comes into its own in the warm weather – a lovely, secluded walled garden with pretty fairy lights in the evening. The food is reasonable too!

The Rookery
60 Clapham Common Southside, SW4 9DA, T: 020 7673 9162
The large terrace in front of this popular, neighbourhood restaurant gets busy on warmer evenings so arrive early. Always good food whenever we’ve visited.
No 32 The Old Town
32 The Pavement, Clapham, SW4 0JE, T:020 3535 0910
If you can grab a spot on the lovely roof terrace overlooking Clapham Old Town and the common you’ll be the envy of the indoor diners. No 32 is stylish without being uncomfortably trendy and boasts good food and friendly service. It gets busy at weekends.

21 The Pavement, Clapham Common SW4 0HY, T: 202 7720 4105
This laid back restaurant overlooks Clapham Common and has a pretty, if small, courtyard at the back. The food is delicious too!

Ransome’s Dock, 35-37 Parkgate Road, Battersea, SW11 4NP, T: 020 7350 0555
A great location overlooking Ransome’s Dock, inside the décor has a stripped back, relaxed vibe and outside there’s a largish terrace. Good food with an emphasis on sustainability and sourced from the Gladwin brothers’ (owners) farm in West Sussex.

33 Abbeville Road
33 Abbeville Road, Clapham SW4 9LA  T: 020 8673 0977
A relative newcomer to the area, this stylish modern British restaurant has a lovely terrace at the front.

The Battersea Power Station development brings a huge selection of restaurants, bars and cafes with terraces and outdoor space, with new places opening all the time. And of course, the Venn Street eateries opposite Clapham Picturehouse including Honest Burgers, Argan and Barsito have plenty of outdoor seating at the merest hint of warm weather. There is also a choice of restaurants next door to each other about half way down Northcote Road Battersea with tables and chairs at the front: Jan, Franco Manca and Akash Tandoori. Italian favourites Made in Italy and Buona Sera, Osterio Antica Bologna, Numero Uno, Macellaio also have tables outside on the pavement.  That’s a lot of Italian restaurants we’ve just realised!! For more casual dining try BrewByron and Arlo’s which all have a few tables outside.
