The breakfast menu sounds fab – we like the sound of Banana bread served with streaky bacon, coconut yoghurt and caramelised banana.  The woodfired pizzas look really good too. We will try this one out soon for sure!

The focus is on steak here served with a choice of homemade sauces. There’s also a branch on Northcote Road SW11.

A welcome addition to Bedford Hill – the original Beyrouths is in Streatham. The focus is on fresh ingredients with an emphasis on Lebanese food at reasonable prices.

15-19 Bedford Hill, Balham, SW12 9EX, T: 020 7680 2700
Brasserie meets diner with a focus on seasonal British food – steaks, fish, salads and Sunday roasts. Nice vibe!

Lamberts (Modern British)
2 Station Parade, Balham High Road, London SW12 9AZ, T: 020 8675 2233
We’ve been going to Lamberts since it first opened nine years ago and we’re pleased to say that the standard of cooking is still high. We’ve always found the service to be friendly and professional too. It also has a good reputation for delicious Sunday roasts – even voted in the Independent Top 50 best roasts in the UK. But what we really like about Lamberts is that it feels like a special occasion restaurant yet the prices are reasonable for such quality, seasonal cooking.
