Cafe Rouge (French) 40 Abbeville Road, Clapham, SW4 9NG, T: 020 8673 3399 Reasonably priced French fare that will never disappoint, yet unlikely wow. Our favourites include Salade aux Crottins de Chèvre, and of course the classic Croque Monsieur. Chez Bruce (French) 2, Bellevue Rd, London, SW17 7EG, T: 020 8672 0114 Excellent French restaurant - service, food, wine... highly recommended for a special night out. One of the best restaurants in the Clapham area, and deserving of its Michelin star. Very close to Clapham Junction - opposite the cinema. On our last visit the chateaubriand was very tender and succulent, and the sea bass excellent. The tarte tatin and the chocolate mousse were just terrific. A massive wine list focused almost exclusively on French wine. Service a bit sporadic however. We've had many good nights there.
